The set up:My friend Gera just invited me to his 31st birthday. He is going to do a big party with drinks, food and even dancing. I am really looking forward to it and we are going to have a blast! - So he wrote an Email and invited a lot of people like Harold, Ben, Juliet and even me.
Finding a present the hard way:
Before Wishzettel exists I would now call Harold, Ben and Juliet and see what Gera wants and what we should get: What are Gera's wishes? With how much would you like to participate? Would you get this present or would you rather get something else? ...
These phone calls would go forward and backward for a couple of days and even weeks. Even if we all meet in person (and Gera is not present!) it takes a while before we find the right present.
With Wishzettel:

Create a Wishzettel, suggest a couple of ideas, vote on ideas and participate.
So I did go a head and created a Wishzettel for Gera's birthday:
Then I would go ahead and suggest a couple of ideas to the Wishzettel. Like a tool for drilling and a new book about how to make tree houses:
After that I did go ahead and added my participation of 20 Euros and voted on these two wishes. In the end I invited Harold, Juliet and Ben by sending them the Friendslink.After a couple of days Harold, Ben and Juliette came to the Wishzettel added their participation, voted on the wishes and even added a new ideas. In the end we found three great wishes:

This is just one idea how you could you use Wishzettel. Maybe you are preparing the wedding of your sister and you want to make sure the right wishes get bought. No problem: disable the ability to create new wishes. Or you would like to create a Wishzettel for your own birthday. No problem: just disable the ability to create new wishes and voting on wishes.
